Through The Garden Gate Inspiration

Once I heard about the white painted furniture that Through The Garden Gate had to offer, I knew I needed to make a visit to this vintage, antique shop.
After all, I was looking for a bedside table.

This place was filled with pink depression glass (my favorite, but I used restraint), painted furniture and framed mirrors. The best was saved for last- several rooms were filled with my kind of inspiration! It was like walking into a dream-- mason jars with candles were hung from the ceiling by twine- burlap and other neutral fabrics were draped over beds and chairs.

Maybe my house will look like this one day.

I'll take one of these! (fancy bench to throw my clothes over)

Mantel- more is better?

Fabric woven through shade frame

I left with a white, distressed bedside table, salt and pepper shakers (in the shape of birds) and the most delicious smelling candle- vanilla cake :)
Don't worry, I'll share with you. Check for photos of my purchases in the next couple of days!

A Gift For Little Pear

I enlisted my moms help for this one!
She knitted and crocheted these adorable moccasin slippers for my friend's baby.

They are so adorable, find the Etsy pattern here!

The Best Color Combo Ever!

...Debatable but these colors are making me pretty happy right now :)

I have made a hair scarf from the floral fabric and used the other fabrics as the ties to new necklaces.

I'm going to attempt to make a "scarf-necklace" out of the watercolor floral print.

Exclusively at Quirk

I now have some necklaces exclusively at Quirk, just in time for spring and summer.
So hurry up and check them out!

All I needed was a few ideas... leather, brightly colored beads.  I was so excited to start,
I couldn't be stopped! At least not until 2 am, once I had finished.

This collection is a bit different from my previous subtle hues of ivories, greys and pinks.
These shows my love for bright colors and attraction to neon colors.

Random Girl #3

I'm happy to announce that I will be Random Girl #3 in my friend Micaela's wedding.
What's a "Random Girl" you might ask? Well, according to Micaela's cousin, Random Girls are all the ones that get to stand next to the bride on her wedding day.
In other words, I will be a bridesmaid :)

Here is the adorable way Micaela asked each of us to be a bridesmaid. What a great idea!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This fun, spring wreath was inspired by the pink one I made for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, in October last year.

I received a custom order for a "green, spring wreath" and this is what I came up with.
Now, this wreath is now hanging on the door of another happy ClarissaB customer :)

I started with strips of fabric, three different shades of green.

Then I rolled them up into flower rosettes.

Aren't they so cute?!

And glued them onto a grapevine wreath.
