Baby Shower for Bency

I hosted my friend Bency's baby shower and made theses tissue paper pom poms . They were super easy to make. Not only were they decorations for the shower but they are now hanging in baby Zachary's room. Needless to say, the baby room colors are red, orange and yellow.

Oh and here's the custom bedding Bency had made by Susie mey

Of course I had to make a card that matched the animal theme of his room.

Brag Book

Challenge: A friend of mine asked me to make her a brag book. What's a brag book you ask?
It's a compact photo album created for the purpose of showing off pictures, in this case, travel photos. My reply "sure!" I've never made one before but I can make it happen.

I loved making this book for a couple of reasons. One, I had never done anything like it before. Two, I had to problem solve to find a way to insert and remove photos. Three, it was my first time sewing with paper and plastic.

Here's way I came up with :)

I started by cutting down chip board and taping panels together.

I glued fun scrap booking paper to each chip board panel.
For the cover, I tied a lace ribbon around, which holds the book together.
Once opened, it looks like a zig-zag and can be displayed in multiple ways! Holding photos on each side for more photo fun!

Sewing plastic to paper on three sides, leaving one side open to insert and remove photos.

Perfect to be displayed down the center of a table...
conversation starters during family and friend gatherings!
